How does Qamon email encryption work
We currently use the Ylide protocol to encrypt and transmit messages. All messages are stored in encrypted form within a smart contract. Encryption occurs locally using a key generated during registration with Qamon.
When generating a message, you encrypt it using a unique public and secret key, generated solely for that message. Next, you encrypt the secret key asynchronously using the recipient's public key (or several recipients) and transfer it to the blockchain to save gas for each sent message.
The key can only be decrypted by the recipient whose public key it was encrypted with.
If you have an Android phone and haven't downloaded Qamon yet, now's the perfect time
