AR is an acronym for Autonomous Recursive InterNetwork Architecture - a new internet protocol stack being developed by 42-E which replaces TCP/IP but includes elements from HTTP and other protocols. The system will be based on a series of layers each providing different functions to enable data transmission between nodes. On top of this, at layer 8 we have a token system called Arweave that incentivizes users to plug their machines into the network as part of what we call “peer nodes”.
The Arweave Layer (layer 8) enables the creation of new blockchains and includes a token called Arweave (AR). At this layer, we will be storing information about existing Blockchains and protecting all their data off-chain with distributed storage mechanisms that allow for consensus chains to essentially provide an immutable history of transactions. We implement what we call “Proof of Access” where nodes must pay coin as a license fee in order to access the shared data - here, time plays as a factor as it costs more as you require access faster than those who only need read-only access.
What is ARWEAVE (AR)? - blockchain has no knowledge of Bitcoin or Ethereum blockchains to provide a consensus layer for human readable data!!! It stores any type of data to feeless and not only information related to cryptocurrencies! This technology can also function as a decentralized internet protocol capable of providing decentralized DNS system! The Arweave Layer is also an Authenticated data storage network.

Waves Blockchain presents ARWEAVE - decentralised protocol with open access and no transaction fees on the new generation of WAVES blockchain, developed by 42-E. It uses a completely new technology which is not based on blockchain but instead will be built using a Self-Organising Binary Index Trie (SOBIT) that will store binary data in encrypted form, yet still maintain its integrity and user ability to interpret it through use of cryptographic functions such as SHA256 hashing.
This approach means that any information can be stored in an extremely space efficient manner such that large amounts of data can be held within a relatively small amount of storage; we anticipate that this may eventually be as small as a 1TB hard drive storing more than 365,000 years of data.
