KLAY uses all existing web technologies such as HTML5, Javascript and CSS3 and wraps them in an API (Application Programming Interface) which can be accessed by websites through a simple JavaScript integration.
This way we make it possible for any website owner to start accepting cryptocurrency instantly without having to know complicated languages or write their own system from scratch. With this we create access, awareness and incentive for people to start exploring and using cryptocurrency in their everyday lives. KLAY empowers content creators and fans to create value and be rewarded for it, while enabling businesses of all sizes to accept micro-transactions at near zero cost.
KLAY is what we call a "Layered Token", which means that the blockchain has different layers on top of each other with different token functions such as: native currency (e.g. Bitcoin), smart contract tokens (e.g. Ethereum) and utility tokens (e.g. Golem).
KLAY will be the first coin running on our own blockchain, which we are currently developing. You can learn more about it here . Our main target for this year is to get KLAY integrated into as many websites as possible.
